Mellow is Giant Murals
Mellow is becoming known for it’s giant, colorful murals. The new Mellow in Tabor Center (Denver), Colorado, will feature this behemoth (nigh 100 ft again) mural illustrated by Bill Amundson and colored by Jonathon Floyd (here he is with Daisy Duke) . (note: final version not pictured)

Mellow Summer Gear
It’s summer time, and that means a new crop of Mellow Gear is here! Mellow Marketing comes together with The Ice Box (apparel n’ more), rising talent (local and afar), and family favorites, to make sure we stay on the cutting edge (see how I avoided a pizza cutter simile there?). We look all around, from pop art, hippie culture, even graffiti art, to stay as fresh and new as our customers expect us to be. Mellow Gear is a grand tradition that goes back to our early days, sparking devout collectors here and there who know something special when they see it. Order some here. Woohoo! Anyone who has been around me for more than five minutes knows that I love to get new food photography. The most recent set is here and they look fan-tastic! Mellow Marketing is going to be testing food photography in selected store menus to gauge the result (naturally, we only want to make changes that have a strong positive effect), and I think the Shroom Nation will be pleased. Mellow Design Blog is Back!
Sorry about the downtime folks, Mellow Design Blog caught a technical gremlin and had to sit on the bench for a couple of weeks. A ton of stuff is coming down the pipe, so here is a little teaser: A possible deign for Mellow table pagers. The pager company said we had the coolest design they’ve ever worked with (When done right, Mellow stuff should always get that response)! Final look may very a touch (especially the purple lights, which I don’t think are available).

Here are a few new printed items from the last couple of weeks. My hope is to take all applicable single-store POP materials and put them online so that any owner can go online and find materials for every holiday to supplement the items from the regular promotions. So basically, Bosses Day is coming up, you would go onto the online system, find bosses day, and list a quantity to order.

Okay, technically it’s a “flying disk,” but either way, nothing goes better with a summer music festival than one of these. We were aiming for something that people would want to take home and hang on their wall when they’re not using it (I have three on my wall as I type this). What better than the classic peace sign, in shiny metallic ink, and glow-in-the-dark nonetheless?!! Maybe people can save their lighters and wave these back and forth during the night shows.
